Roaming Messenger Is Now Java Enabled

Roaming Messenger , the provider of a breakthrough mobile messaging platform, today announced that the company's Version 2.0 is now compatible with most new generation mobile devices available worldwide as a result of Roaming Messenger's support of the J2ME (Java2MicroEdition) MIDP 2.0 platform from Sun Microsystems

Roaming Messenger really adds tremendous value to mobile communications because not only can we track devices based on their geographic position, but we can also send messages to specific devices and users based on their geographic location," explained Jon Lei, Roaming Messenger's CEO.

"This allows information to be sent to a certain person at a specific place; for example an emergency management agency can send incident maps, images or other critical information only to those responders within a specific radius, who are in the best position to provide immediate assistance in the event of a homeland security threat
