Mexens Technology, provider of Navizon, the first software-only positioning system that works with Wi-Fi and/or Cellular signals today announced the availability of a new version of its software that includes a local search capability.
This feature successfully combines the accurate positioning information provided by Navizon with the power of Google Local.
Navizon triangulates the signals broadcasted by Wi-Fi access points and Cellular towers to provide an accurate positioning information. It is based on a collaborative database (peer-to-peer) and already covers most metropolitan areas in the US and Europe.
Navizon is free for non-commercial use and works with any phone or PDA running a Windows Mobile platform.
It can be downloaded at www.Navizon.com
