Recently Semacode with their 2d codes and Wikipedia (Internet's free encyclopedia) created a way to "tag" physical items with www.Semapedia.org
You can use your cellphone as a smart travelguide to extract information (Wikipedia) from physical world by scanning a 2d code.
Hypertag, is a new technology from Aura Digital that allows information to be transferred from a physical object (movie poster, calendar, advertisement) to a mobile phone using bluetooth technology.
Both of these technologies are being utilized for mobile marketing campaigns.
It's nice to see the physical world connection technologies get recognized by Wikipedia.
