Nokia Pays $430m For Email Intellisync


Nokia buys Intellisync for mobile email app

Nokia Oyj, the world's largest mobile- phone maker, agreed to buy Intellisync Corp. for $430 million to add e-mail software in its handsets and compete with the BlackBerry device.

The Finnish company will get Intellisync wireless e-mail software, allowing it to challenge Waterloo, Ontario-based Research In Motion Ltd., which makes the BlackBerry device.

Nokia aims to increase the business use of mobile phones to spur sales as consumer markets in Europe and the U.S. near saturation
