From the Lost Remote Blog The new local gold mine .
A new report by Borrell Associates urges local media sites to tap into a new revenue stream by building websites for small businesses. "Some local site operators might view design and maintenance as being outside their core competency, but a new crop of service providers offers turnkey programs that not only build a simple, attractive site, but also combine online advertising for it," reads the report.
In my opinion, the Yellow Pages should ask every one of the subscribers if they have a website. If not, there's another revenue stream for them. Only then will local search be complete.
