From MocoNews National Enquirer goes mobile

"The exclusive deal will initially allow any of the estimated 12 million National Enquirer readers in the USA to personalise their mobile handsets with pictures and ringtones featured on adverts in the leading supermarket tabloid. Further services, including horoscope and celebrity gossip alerts, are planned for roll out with various operators in the USA and will reflect the National Enquirer branding and content.”

I think this will be common for all magazines as a way to generate more revenues. My guess is that by selling mobile content from the National Enquirer will lead into a mobile marketing campaign.

Does TrimSpa make a ringtone?
