The Final Nail In Landline Coffin?
Oliver Starr, a fellow Mobile Carnivalist, has a great story on how Sprint's cable deal could put the final nail in the landline coffin.
"Over time Sprint's agreement with the cable companies is expected to involve handing off of telephone calls between wide area cellular networks and short-range wireless networks such as Wi-Fi, which is built into many laptop computers"
Imagine having high speed Net access on your cellphone and never losing signal when you go into a building. (Hurricanes are another story).
Watch what happens to the pace of mobile marketing when this develops.
